Welcome to the first Team Wilson Dev Log! We’re excited to share our progress on several exciting projects. In this edition, we’ll showcase the development of The Boys Power Pack, something we haven’t talked about before, the Cyberpunk Mod for Wilson’s Toybox (keep reading for more info). We’ll also provide updates on the significant rework of our Power Pack Framework, highlight the winners of our recent server contest, and give a special shoutout to Pix’s birthday on June 30th. Stay tuned for all the exciting details and behind-the-scenes insights!
The development of The Boys Power Pack has been remarkably swift. In just a few weeks, we’ve managed to create over 70% of the sprites, including some iconic costumes from the comics. Additionally, we’ve made significant progress in developing various powers, bringing us closer to a fully realized experience.
Timtam, one of our collaborators on the mod had this to say:
“Me and the people working on the mod have been putting a lot of effort into it so players will get the best experience while using our mod. Progress has been relatively smooth, and I’m excited to show off what we’ve done once it releases!” – Timtam
Thank you for Timtam for the quote and the whole team working on the mod, they’ve all put a lot of work and effort into the mod so far and it is showing!
Wilson’s Toybox is a unique collection of mods exclusively available to our Patreon members. While these mods may not be as expansive as the Marvel Power Pack, they make up for their smaller scale with exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail. We are thrilled to share the exciting content we have in store for you. Rest assured, these mods won’t remain Patreon-exclusive forever. In the future, we plan to host polls, allowing our community to decide which mods from Wilson’s Toybox will be made public. However, for now and the foreseeable future, this initial mod will remain a Patreon exclusive upon its release.
Inspired by the phenomenal game “Cyberpunk 2077,” this mod aims to bring some of the most intriguing cyberware into People Playground. Cam has been diligently working on this project, and we are thrilled to share a sneak peek of what’s to come.
What you see above are the Mantis Blades. These incredible weapons feature stunning animations as they deploy, are stashed away, and they offer the thrilling ability to slice and dice anything in their path, ensuring they meet all your needs for cybernetic enhancements. This is just a small tease, but we have several more arm cyberware pieces in development. And who knows… there might even be some exciting leg and chest cyberware on the way too. Stay tuned for more updates!
Since we last spoke, we have been diligently reworking the Power Pack Framework. We’ve made significant strides in enhancing everything from adding passive abilities to more customizable powers and much more. Here’s a small sneak peek at how the rework is shaping up. Please keep in mind that this is still a work in progress, but we’re incredibly excited to share the final product with you once it’s complete!
Not too long ago, we proudly hosted our second screenshot competition, focusing on the exciting updates delivered to both the Marvel Power Pack and the John Wick Mod. The level of participation and the quality of submissions were truly astounding, showcasing the incredible creativity and talent within our community. While every entry was impressive in its own right, we had the challenging task of selecting just one winner for each category.
For the Marvel Power Pack Secret Wars competition, the top prize goes to @1hypnotic, who masterfully captured an intense and dramatic battle between Wolverine and The Incredible Hulk. This striking scene truly brought the Marvel universe to life in vivid detail.
Coming in at a close second and third are @thefistofspector and @quanhoangbla, whose exceptional pieces of art left us in awe with their creativity and execution.
In the John Wick Mod category, the winner is @.novark_, who delivered an outstanding depiction of John Wick on his motorcycle, fiercely chasing after Wilson in a high-stakes duel. This dynamic scene perfectly captured the thrilling essence of the John Wick universe.
The second and third places in this category were awarded to @fairpuppy and @mrhypes, respectively, for their remarkable submissions. We also want to give special honorable mentions to @madara3103, @getgaming, and @cxcv, whose contributions were highly commendable and added to the overall excitement of the competition.
Congratulations to all the winners and heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated. Your incredible work continues to inspire and elevate our community, and we look forward to seeing more of your amazing creativity in future competitions.
We’d also like to take a moment to celebrate our very own resident super artist, Pxl, whose birthday was on June 30th! Pxl has been an integral part of our team for a little over two years now, joining us back when we were still working on PPG3D. She has not only been a fantastic asset to the team but also a cherished friend to us all. Her contributions have been nothing short of spectacular; she single-handedly created all the artwork for our rebrand, showcasing her incredible talent as both an artist and a modeler. Pxl’s exceptional skills and wonderful personality have brought immense value and joy to our team. Here’s to celebrating your birthday, Pxl. We are so happy to have you with us and look forward to many more celebrations together!
